Treo 650 hits Europe

palmOne's Treo 650 has been launched in Europe in cooperation with two mobile operators. Orange will launch the smartphone in the U.K., France, and Switzerland, and Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) will distribute it in Italy. The handhelds are expected to be delivered in early March. The Treo 650 is a quad-band mobile phone based on the Palm operating system, with e-mail, organizer, messaging, and Web capabilities as well as a built-in digital camera. The handheld also features non-volatile memory, a removable battery, integrated Bluetooth technology, and direct access to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 using the VersaMail e-mail software.
