TV Downloads Latest File-Sharing Threat

It was only a matter of time before network television would get Napsterized. Now, according to a new report by the British tech firm Envisional, it has.

The firm found in a survey that peer-to-peer trading of network television shows like "24," "Desperate Housewives" and "Six Feet Under" has increased dramatically -- 150 percent -- in the last year. Not surprisingly, 70 percent of the trading takes place on BitTorrent. What is slightly surprising, though, is the fact that the largest group of consumers downloading the shows is British, not American.

Research analyst David Price says he is not surprised by the numbers involved. "People who download these episodes want to see them right away," he says. And it makes sense that the Brits are leading the way, so to speak. "There usually is a lag of a few months before these shows, which originate in the U.S., air over here."

Was it the local British or was it the Malaysian's in Britain ? lol
